It's getting to be that time where we'd like to start getting kids signed up for the summer camp they would like to attend.  I've selected a few camps that should be great fits for the wrestlers on our team this offseason.  If you have never done a summer wrestling camp I strongly encourage you to consider one this year - as it is a great opportunity to improve your skills as a wrestlers and will help lead to a successful 2010-2011 season.

For our experienced wrestlers:  We'd like to attend a team camp.  Last year many of our guys attended Augsburg’s Team camp and had a very good experience.  For such a camp we need 10 or more wrestlers.  This camp is intended for those wrestlers with two or more years of wrestling experience and hope to wrestle a lot of varsity next year.

What I need to know is who is interested in this type of camp.  The two camps we are looking at is the Maleck Team Camp in Wisconsin Dells from June 27th - June 30th or the Luther Team Camp from July 7-10 or 18-21 at Luther College in Iowa.  My schedule would allow me to attend all of the Maleck Camp in the Dells.  We would arrange car pooling for either of these camps. 

For our less experienced wrestlers:  A Technique camp is the best option for you.  The University of Minnesota would be a very good option.  July 11-15 or 18-22nd are the dates of this camp.  This camp is designed for wrestlers who have wrestled for two years or less and believe the majority of their matches will be J.V. matches next year.

Please let me know ASAP if you plan to attend a camp and what dates work best for you.  If you would like to attend a camp but neither of the proposed camps work for you for any reason please let me know as I have other ideas.  Thanks and I hope to hear from all of you soon.
