Maple Grove Youth Wrestling
Join this young and exciting Maple Grove Wrestling Team. This program is for wrestlers of all skill levels – beginner, intermediate or advanced and feeds directly into the 2010 section championship Maple Grove High School Team as well as the other local high schools.
Coach Ryan King, who is a 3X Division II All-American and two time Minnesota state high school champion, will focus on developing the basic and advanced wrestling techniques necessary to compete at a high level while also incorporating the fun aspect of the sport.
The tentative schedule will run November thru January, including evening practices and meets. Meets are typically on weeknights starting at about 4:00 p.m. Depending on interest level, we may also compete in one or two weekend meets or tournaments.
Participants will receive a Maple Grove Wrestling T-shirt. Wrestlers must supply wrestling or gym shoes and practice wear (shorts and T-shirt). Parents are responsible for transportation to and from practices and meets. We can help with car pooling as needed.
